Travelling was typically a dangerous and hard thing to consider and required enormous effort, continuous planning and strict resources sharing. Travellers in the past faced innumerable challenges to reach their destination. One of them is the weather. The weather played a key role in determining people’s safety during the travelling period. In extreme conditions, one used to stay at the point where the phenomenon started until everything goes back to normal. However, in some cases, extreme weather conditions could last for several days which is undoubtedly difficult to resist and eventually causes death. Food was an essential element and was extremely crucial. Arabs used to store fish and meat by salting and drying them. This storing methodology was effective and contributed magnificently to the success of many journeys. Water was rare and could be barely found. It was stored in goat skins and clay jugs. However, in case a person ran out of water, they would either dig a well or search for a near water source. However, In the Arabic region particularly in the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, the temperatures are scorching. Therefore, running out of water has unpleasant consequences. Luckily, the invention of technology caused an evolutionary development in numerous industries including transportation. Transportation nowadays in comparison to the past is much more convenient, safe, and quick.
