I ate "kappaebisen" with my mother as a snack. Though it is a popular Japanese snack, which tastes of prawns, it is not my favourite and I have not eaten it for [at least] /over a year.
So it is not my choice but my mother's.
Even though I thought I [did] /would not like it [so] /that much, when I started to eat, I couldn't stop eating. It is still not my favourite, but it is the taste of what I used to eat when I was a child❊. It's kind of what we call "natsukashii aji".
