I ate "kappaebisen" with my mother as a snack with my mother. Though it is popular Japanese snack which tastes prawns, it is not my favorite snack so that I had not eaten it for at least one year. So it is not my choice but my mother's. Even though I thought I did not like it so much, when starting eat, I couldn't stop eating it. Still it is not my favorite, but it is the taste I used to eat when I was a child. It's kind of what we call "natsukashii aji".

I know what you mean - some tastes are not forgotten, even after many years !
