What would I do if I had a company? If I were running a company and I were the CEO of the company the first thing I would do is to understand what is the target market of my product. Once I realized this I would decide what's the best way to advertise the product. It's not the same to advertise a product for kids that for adults. I suppose it would be a good idea to launch the product with a special campaign and make a discount for people on the launch day.

What would I do if I had a company? If I were the CEO of a company, the first thing I would do is to understand what the target market of my product was. Once I realized this, I would decide what would be the best way to advertise the product: you do not advertise a product for children the same way as you do for adults. I suppose it would be a good idea to launch a product with a special campaign and provide a discount for people on launch day.
The first sentence is very complex as it is a conditional “If I were”. Saying if you ran the company as well as saying CEO is just a duplication. The use of the comma in the first sentence allows the conditional to be clear, and breaks up the sentence a bit. The second sentence is also complex, so another comma helps with the meaning. The colon helps break up the sentence as there are two parts. A full stop, or period, would be too abrupt as the ideas really flow on one from another.
