from home has become an option for some jobs. The ease of being able to work
from anywhere is a welcome change in the fast-paced present world. However,
it's not easy for everyone to separate their private and working life when both
coexist in the same environment.
Nowadays, sometimes it looks like a day does
not have enough hours. Therefore, the possibility of spending less time commuting (this is the correct for travel to/from work) is very tempting. Also, working from anywhere means for some that
they could also live anywhere. This includes not only people who live in
different cities, or countries, than the main-office of their employer, but also
people who decided they could use this opportunity to discover the world.
Nevertheless, working
and living in the same place means that the division between both sides of life
becomes hazy. If your house is your work environment, it can lead to a situation in
which you need to stop your job duties to help your children, do the laundry or
open the door. Furthermore, the opposite can happen too. It's never pleasant to
answer a work call during lunch or in the shower.
Taking everything into
consideration, there are pros and cons, but, with the right work-life balance,
it's possible to work from home. It has become quite a good solution in the 2020
pandemic. Yet, some jobs are not really fit for remote employment.
Therefore, equilibrium is not the only important thing, a wise consideration of job responsibilities also is.
