गुणा गुणज्ञेषु गुणा भवन्ति ते निर्गुणं प्राप्य भवन्ति दोषाः।  सुस्वादुतोयाः प्रभवन्ति नद्यः समुद्रमासाद्य भवन्तपेयाः।।1।। Hindi Translation- गुणवान व्यक्तियों में गुण, गुण ही होते हैं।  वे गुणहीन व्यक्तियों को प्राप्त करके दोष बन जाते है। नदिया जिसप्रकार स्वादिष्ट जल से युक्त होकर निकलती हैं ,परन्तु समुद्र में पहुंचकर वे जल पिने योग्य नहीं होती हैं।  English Translation- The Qualities of the virtuous people are the qualities. Receiving the same quality, the virtuous person becomes a fault. The river comes out with tasty water from the mountains, but when they reach the sea, they will not be portable.
