I am an Italian Teacher and I hear funny mistakes every day. But this is one of my mistakes learning english: while I was travelling in England, I came in a pub and I asked "what country is this?" instead of "Town". The barman laughed a lot

I was talking to my tutor and said sono eccitata (I’m horny/sexually excited) instead of sono emozionata (I’m excited) when talking about a ski trip

I’m French and in my language, “tampon” can mean both “stamp” and “sanitary tampon”. I was in a club in Spain and asked the bouncer to put the “tampón” on my arm (so I could go out and come back). But in Spanish, “tampón” only means “sanitary tampon”. 😅 Which caused the bouncer to laugh at me. ”Stamp” in Spanish is actually ”sello”.

I was teaching a middle school ESL class and was checking attendance. The student's last name was Escoto and I accidentally said "escroto" Escroto means scrotum. All of the kids laughed hard at this mistake lol.
