Question to English speakers What is different "menopause" and " climax"?Thank you , Cherry. So menopause is the point when the menstruation stop. And cliax is maybe the certain period before menstuation stop. I checked your link. Notice that the term is 'menopausal climax' ,that is the climax of that event or situation,but the word 'climax' separately wouldn't refer to the premenopausal period!

They are not comparable in sense! 'climax' is the most exciting moment in any event or situation (climax of a story ,orgasm in sexual intercourse etc...) 'menopause' is the time in the woman's life ,when her period stops and she cant get pregnant. The word derives from greek Emmenopauses " emminopafsis", emmino means "the monthly" and it is another word for the period. (Pafsis) means to cease or to stop. It occurs usually between the ages of 45 and 55.

'climax' doesn't have anything to do with 'menstruation'.You can't regard the premenopausal period as a most important or exciting moment!!
