"ぼく" used by woman? I heard the word "ぼく" in the "Style" song (Soul Eater OST) while the singer is female. And also I heard from people that there are a lot of Japanese female singers use the word "ぼく". Why do they use it to refer themselves? Is it common for women to use "ぼく" nowadays?

It's not common for women to use "ぼく". But some Japanese female singers use"ぼく"to become the feeling of the boys when they sing. (*^^)v

In fact, ”ぼく” is men's way to call oneself. If the female singer sings "ぼく", the lyrics are about boys. If an anime character calls herself "ぼく", that is a one of the way to describe the character a "boyish girl".
