If u want to practice traditional french visit http://www.rfi.fr/ Also, visit the pages of le monde and le figaro. These are the biggest newspapers in France. But if you want to learn québequois, u have to listen to www.rcinet.ca/ and read some newspapers from Montreal. Like Le devoir

If you like a tv series in English, chances are it's been dubbed somewhere in French. I would suggest to watch a 30 min tv show every day to get used to the sounds. You will struggle to start with so don't give up. That's why I saw pick up somethning you already like. And when you hear something been said often, look it up in a dictionnary. Anyway, that's how I started to learn English. I watched Fresh Prince of Bel Air and it was funny and I desperatly wanted to know why people were laughing. It was both fun and useful.

may be , it is better to start a language by reading, it s more easy and make you learn vocabulary and grammar structures.. if you want to listen to some french, i suggest to listen to some phrasebook or read some easy books which come with mp3 like this one http://www.amazon.cn/gp/product/B0011CJ96M. sflep.com have a list of good and easy book in french. i can't tell you which one is good according to your level but you can try by yourself, they are quite cheap phrasebook in french www.roughguides.com/phrasebooks www.roughguides.com/website/Travel/PhraseBooks/Assets/french/french.zip
