The sentence is merely slang. When he asks, "should I try to round us up a table", he is asking the female if she would like to join him at another table. To 'round up', is another way of saying that you are going 'to gather' something, whether that be applied to food, friends, a table, etc.

A "round up" makes me think of the Old West when cowboys got on their horses and went out to gather cattle to move them to another place. This informal expression "to go round us up a table" makes you think of this man gallantly "getting on his horse" (walking over to the host/hostess) to find a "stray cow" (a free table).
