Is there a euphemistic way to talk about death In Chinese, if sb dead, we could say 走了 or 离开了 or 老了 euphemistically. In the ancient time, emperors' death is called 驾崩 or 崩 or 薨, which means their death is very grievous, like a huge mountain collapse. Buddhist monk' death is called 圆寂 or 坐化 Taoist priest’ death is called 登仙 or 羽化 Hero's death is called 牺牲

There are many of those, to name a few: Pass away, pass on, kicked the bucket, sniffed it (rude), boxed (also rude).....
