What Arabic words do we already know? It's easier to learn the language when you realise that you already use some foreign words in your everyday life. Some Arabic words came to Europe and nowadays sound pretty similar in all world langauges. I tried to devide it into several groups: Sience: algebra, alchemistry, algorithm, carat Food: marzipan, alcohol, syrup, lemon Military: admiral, calibre Some religious and cultural Arabic terms are also very useful but quite obvious therefore less important for learning the language but still: islam, emir, harem, bedouin Let's share some more :)
