How to make cause-effect sentences/coumpound sentences in Japanese Examples: She told me to clean my room but I'm too busy. My sister is too mean and talkative, that's why we don't get along well. Please help. Arigatou Gozaimasu!

There are several ways to say "that's why" or "if X, then Y". See e.g. http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar/conditionals There are also several ways to say "but" (no matter if it's cause-effect or not). Smile has given an example, see also http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar/compound

She told me to clean my room but I'm too busy. 彼女は私に部屋の掃除をするように言ったけ(れ)ど、私はとても忙しいの/掃除をするには忙しすぎる。 I'll explain more simple sentence. I'm too busy to clean my room:私はとても忙しいので、部屋の掃除ができない。 掃除をするには忙しすぎる。 too ~ to ... = ~なので...できない、 ...するには~すぎる My sister is too mean and talkative, that's why we don't get along well. 私の姉/妹は意地悪でおしゃべりだから、私たちはうまくやっていけません/仲良くできません。 That's why~= それが~の理由です/そのせいで~
