what is the difference between them? thanks how long's it been since you slept? how long's it been since you woke up? if I fell asleep at 9:00pm yesterday and woke up 9:00am this morning, it is 12:00am now.

I find a difference: The meaning is the same, but you would use them at different times. You say "how long has it been sense you slept" when it has been an unusual amount of time that you have been awake... for instance if you stay out all night and you want to know if your friend had a nap that day, or if they have stayed up without sleep. The other (...woke up) is for the day time, and you want to know when the person got out of bed.
