Rosetta Stone Did anybody try this software for language learning? Was it helpful?

I had a friend who tried it. What I remember is that it used images that represented the learned words. It would show you an image- then you could hear the word and read the word, both in the language being learned. Then you would learn to use the word in a sentence. This would be helpful for someone like me - I am a visual learner. If I see it, I will remember it better. Some people learn differently. I think this is why people are not responding. Even if we know about it, we can not say "yes" this will work for you - or "no" this works for nobody. So now you know a little, maybe you can decide if you would work with this system well. Good luck.

I am using it these days to improve my German. It has many activities such as picture to voice association, pronounciation and writing. Like it obliges you to interact with it in different ways to discover the language in news ways of education, not like the oldschool method (books and stuff). Anyways i advice you to give it a try. Download it on torrent as i did.

Take it with a grain of salt! As you should with any advice. ;) I'm not sure if this is useful, but here are some reviews of the system (I must say I am sceptical about the first one): Happy reading :)
