Is there any style difference between "I simply am not here" and "I am simply not here" So I've listened Anesthetize song by Porcupine Tree, and they sing: "I simply am not here". Is there any difference with the phrase "I am simply not here"? (btw, can you correct me if my question isn't grammatically right?) Thanks!

I can completely agree.

This can be regarded as a grammar mistake of word order. It`s not a matter of style difference. The tune itself guides the words. Though everything is allowed in songs).
