Please help me explain the sentences. Bill Gates' parents sent him to see psychologist. After a year of sessions and tests, the psychologist reached his conclusion. "you're going to lose," he told Gates' mother. What does "sessions" mean? What's the meaning of the sentence "you're going to lose"? Thank you for your explanation. Does a session refer to a period of time that Gates spent talking with his psychologist? Is it a part of his treatment?

A session is a period of time spent talking. It is usually one hour, but could be longer. "You're going to lose." This was said to the mother. Apparently, she wanted Bill Gates to be something that he was never going to be - she was going to lose her struggle to shape him the way she wanted.
