The infinitive and gerund forms are the same for both senses. lie, lies, lying But the past forms and past participles (third forms) are different. lay, lain She lay on the bed and went to sleep. He has lain on the bed many times. lied She lied to me. He has lied to me many times.

Yes. It also means to not tell the truth (in which case, the past tense is "lied").
