It's slang for 'going to'. "It's going to be okay." "He is going to freak out" / (He is gonna freak out) Don't use it when you're writing proper English. Same with 'wanna' = want to - Christoffer^^

Here's a thought: only think of using "gonna" after you've learnt to pronounce "going to" absolutely perfectly. If you resort to "gonna" all the time, you'll come off sounding a little lazy and dumb.
