Racism is a discrimination based on race. All kinds of racism are discriminations But all discriminations are not racism. Just like all horses are animals but all animals are not horses. Or, racism is a subset of discrimination

Racism is basically the belief that intrinsic different traits in human racial groups justify discrimination, while discrimination is described as the harmful treatment of an individual based on their membership in a particular group or category.

You can be discriminated on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, religion, race, and ethnicity. When your discriminated based on your race, this particular discrimination can be described as racism. We have racist remarks such as blacks are blah blah blah, all whits are so on and so forth
