Value added per worker in US, Japan and Korea, adjusted to best comparable estimate accounting for what each country's definition of 'value added' (VA) is. 2. Large number of delivery (drop) points. (Having a large number of delivery points is a challenge because this increases the number of vehicles needed to deliver the product.) 3. Small drop sizes (small amounts delivered) The point here is that because there are a larger number of delivery points, and the amount delivered at each point is smaller, the costs are greater, both in time and in the number of trucks, vans, etc. needed to deliver them.
