difference for "leak" and "betray"?

Leak and betray? These words are not even related. I'll give you an example of the two. Leak: If you have a balloon and fill it with water and then make a tiny hole in it, the water will slowly leak out. What you might be thinking of a "leak" is when for example the President of the United States knows confidential information which must be kept secret but some how the information gets "leaked" out thus betraying the President. So in this regard, leaking out private information is a dishonest thing and it betrays the person who trusted you with it. Hope this helps.
