"Me gusta" is that YOU like something/somebody. "Yo gusto" is that SOMEBODY likes you. :)

For example: A mi "me gusta" John Yo le "gusto" a él (a John)

ME GUSTA implica preferencia. YO GUSTO no es muy frecuente, sugiero utilices ME GUSTA, pues este último puede incitar error
