Japanese series for kids or teens Hi, I'm studying Japanese at university, and in order to hearing more Japanese I'd like to watch some Japanese series. Since this is only my second year I think it would be best if it was a series for children or teens. I'm not looking for anime or j-drama though. Can someone suggest me some titles ? Thanks a lot already!

Thanks for making the suggestion, the fact that there is some culture involved makes it certainly more interesting. But I think I'll give it a try without subtitles first and see how much I understand already.

I think ジブリ movies is good for practice. They have many titles and you don't get bored. In addition, they are popular enough to find in Europe and to find subtitles, and they don't use complicated sentences. Furthermore, they reflect some Japanese tradition and you can learn our culture as well as language.

If you like, you can watch 'pokemon'. I am a huge fan of it. :)

Thank you very much, i'll have a look at these soon. Here in my country we have those series which last 10-15 minutes especially made for let's say children between the age of 8 and 15. And was wondering if something like that wouldn't exist in Japanese.
