What's the difference between "how do you do?" and "How are you doing?" What's the difference between "how do you do?" and "How are you doing?" I'm really confused, please help me :((((

Exactly, "How do you do?" was used a long time ago which means it is an obsolete phrase now. Now people normally just say "How are you doing?"

They mean the same thing, but "how are you doing?" is more contemporary and is said more often! :)
