What does "sentiment" here mean? What does "sentiment" here mean? The following is from Charlotte's Web by E.B.White, a talk between a pig, Wilbur, and a spider Charlotte. Thank you in advance! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well," said Wilbur. "I'm no good at making speeches. I haven't got your gift for words. "Sentiments" here means his gracious feelings or emotions towards her. His generous feelings, or words.
