No, they are not the same. "believe" and "be confident" are two different words "believe " = "have faith"

They are not exactly the same, but they have similar meanings. Just like Jamie answered you is correct, but you could use either statement to mean "have faith or belief" in what you are doing.

Not the same. Here you go - Believe in what you are doing means... to 'trust' or 'have faith in' what you are doing. Be confident about what you are doing means... to 'be brave' or 'be fearless' about what you are doing.
