What does "as" mean here? Can someone rephrase the sentence for me? "In some cases, the cost of goods is linked directly to the composition as determined by analytical tests." I've always found it a little bit tricky to use this word. Can you give me some more examples about this usage? Thanks

The composition is determined by analytical tests. The composition can be determined in other ways, but the "as" specifies that this way (analytical tests) is being considered.
