Would I use 앞은 to say "I'm sick" or "I have a cold"? I've seen it used as "hurt" so many times, it feels weird to use it as illness.

first 앞은 -> 아픈 아픈 - sick inside or outside in Korea sick inside - by illness, disease like cold sick outside - by force from outside or being hurt like falling down on the street

앞은 - I would use that for I'm not feeling well. 감기 would be for a cold. 병 would be a full-out illness.

Just to add... 아픈 is an adjective. 아파 is the verb in basic present.
