Good question. It's hard to find good bilingual books! :( Unfortunately, I don't study Chinese, so I can't give any recommendations for specific Chinese/English bilingual books which I have read. But my personal recommendation would be "Tuesdays With Morrie". It is a famous book in the U.S., short, well written, very inspirational, although a little sad. Great job ! proper names of languages should start with a Capital letter. For English books authors : Jack London, Mark Twain, or Ernest Hemingway are all taught in our schools. Good luck
