what the function of 게 in these sentences?"그렇 게 말했어?" "맞아 죽 게 ?"who can give me a simple explanation？i am always confused with this word.

게 in 그렇게 produces an adverb. 그렇게 말했어? = Did s/he say so? However 게 in 맞아죽게 means "so that...". 맞아죽게? = So that you get beaten up to death?
