What's the commonly used level of politeness in the internet? I think that in english for instance you're a bit less respectful over the internet than in the real conversation. So i wonder, what's the common used and most expected levels are?

So that you continue being a gentleman; probably "ーdesu。"" But e Japanese likes to "put it together around".

My guess: Exactly the same as in English, Russian, Dutch and whatever language. Because the internet is relatively anonymous people tend to be more loose and less respectful. And of course it varies from site to site. Forums/bulletin boards tend to be the worst places in terms of "respect" and politeness.
