How do you say in english "togliamoci il dente"? I can't find an expression in english for "togliamoci il dente" (italian) which is something like "l have a weight on me and I want to get it off". Any suggestion?

I think "to get something off your chest" is the closest. The "something" is a problem, of course. "Can I talk with you? I have something I need to get off my chest."
