Is this sentence natural? Or how would you say that? Things aren't only under my control. (succes at work, happy marriage etc). If I say like that; It doesn't happen just with my wanting. Is it natural? Or how would you say?

'Things aren't always under my control'. - is correct.

If I say something it doesn't mean it's going to happen because I say so.
