Hello, when we say "got to" it indicates a measure of urgency. Similar words are " I have to". I have got to go to the bathroom I have got to go soon, or I will be late. I must get to my work right now or I will be late. I have to get to the bus station now or I will miss the bus I have to get a warm coat for winter I have to get a better job soon I have to get organized. In all cases, there is no time like right now to do the action. Theresa
