I need an English mothertongue opinion! It is either correct saying: I would rate Giulia Brighi's performance in my class as very good or I would rate Giulia Brighi performance in my class as very good ?

First is correct. If you want to avoid the ugly sound, turn it around to be : 'the performance of Giulia Brighi...'
