Is there any difference between using the verb "to jumble" and the phrasal verb "jumble up/together" Examples: All the books were jumbled (together / up) on the floor. Many words were jumbled (together / up) in his head.

There is a slight difference in meaning All the books were jumbled (together / up) [ MIXED UP] on the floor. Many words were jumbled (together / up) [ CONFUSED] in his head.
