The fact that the office was totally disorganized was more indication of the ____ of the new manager The fact that the office was totally disorganized was more indication of the ____ of the new manager and of the _____ of the person who had admired him. A. ignorance … diligence B. indifference … consciousness C. incompetence … negligence D. tolerance … infallible Note: The solution says that C is the answer. If C is correct, what does the second half of the sentence mean? Wouldn’t the sentence make much more sense if “negligence” be replaced by “ignorance”? Do you also think the sentence make sense with "negligence" filled in? Thanks!I guess my question is: If someone admires an incompetent manager, is he ignorant or negligent?

It only makes sense if the person who had admired him was also the person who had hired hired him. I like ignorance better. Or maybe obliviousness.
