Yiddish is the language of the German-speaking Jewish diaspora. It is very similar to German, except that it is written with the Hebrew alephbet.
Yiddish cannot be understood by native Hebrew speakers, but native German speakers can understand some.

Hebrew = Israel has 12 tribes, Yiddish is 1 of them. Named from Judas name, 1 of the 12 sons of Jacob = Israel (God renamed Jacob to Israel) I think, I m not Hebrew.
