What does it mean Capital RAised ? Is anyone familiar with accountancy terms? Is the capital raised provided by the creditors or by shareholders? I dont know if raised capital is the same as capital stock or what. I guess this is a difficult question and it is required to know a bit of accountancy. Let's see if someone could help me as I am tied up with this.

Capital raised is money one collects to start a business, or to expand an existing business. It usually applies to share capital (money raised from shareholders/stockholders), or to long/medium term loans. It would not normally be used to describe the finance provided by creditors or short term bank loans, which are more commonly referred to as 'working capital'.
