What's the difference? Can you explain it, please?_Or both are the same? I know him through work. and I know him from work.

They mean the same thing to me. There might be a subtle difference in that if I said from work I would probably mean he works with me. If I said through work I might mean he works for another company but I met him during the course of my job.
