What's the English thinking? when we write an article, our teacher often mention the English thinking. She often thinks we write it in Chinese thinking, and i wonder how i can cultivate the English thinking.

I often explain this in class as well. I guess your teacher already knows enough Chinese to see that your mistakes are a result of thinking about how you would say it in Chinese... not in English. English words, but Chinese grammar. The mistake is in thinking that a literal translation will always work. If you can give an example of text that made your teacher mention "English thinking", then perhaps we could explain a little more clearly.

English thinking means using English to reason and thinking in English when it comes to grammar. In other words, expressing yourself in English in your head before writing or doing anything else.
