If i were writing a film revision, then which tense shall i use? Like when you were describing the plot of the film, or when you were making comments on the film.

Both present and past are acceptable, as Rya and Peachey implied. Personally I like to use past. The key is to be consistent. If you decide to use one or the other, stick with it and be consistent.

Normally you use present tense: as if it were happening now.

It is generally best to use the present tense in this case but there are exceptions.
