When should I use 'already' with the present perfect and should I use it with the present simple? When should I use 'already' with the present perfect tense and should I use it with the present simple tense? For example, what is the deference between the following sentences: I have already played football. I already play football.

"I have already played football" suggests that you have played football recently or at some point in your life and you do not plan to play football again soon. "I already play football" suggests that because you now play football you do not need to start playing football, or maybe that you do not need to learn to play football. Both sentences are correct. It depends on what you want to say.
