how to say this there is a sequence of numbers: 1,2,3,4,5. if you count it from the last one, then the last number should be 5. my question is how do you call the number 4 and number 3?the last but one number is 4?AND the last but two number is 3? Thank you!* If you count it from the first one! NOT the last one.

4 is the penultimate number in that sequence. Ultimate = final, so penultimate = the one before the final one. I believe you can say "3rd last" or "next-but-next-but-last" for #3 there.

你好吗? If you want to say 4 , you could say "the number before 5" . If you want to say number 3, you may say "two numbers before 5" . Hope it helps!
