''Persons'' is rather formal so i would prefer ''people.''

Persons refers to specific individuals when their individual nature is important to whatever you are talking about. I agree that you really cannot go wrong with people and I cannot think of a place where you would need to use persons instead of people. Just stick with people.

People is correct. Don't use "persons" unless you really know what you're doing.
