Does the word 'HEADING' means going? Where are you heading? I'm heading for a class...I'm getting late. [Can we use the word heading beside going..Is there meaning same] The word heading is formal or informal,can we use this word with any situation or with any person..like with friends,family,teacher.

"To head (somewhere)" is colloquial rather then informal, and often suggests a particular direction. Basically it means the same as "go", but be careful of using "for/to" after it.
