And between different verbs Can we use "and" between two verbs that accept different kind of object? like this one: He embraced and converted to Christianity... I think it should be changed to "he embraced Christianity and converted to it" or just remove one of them.

Either would be acceptable.

Yes, but note that if the verbs required different prepositions, you would need to include them: "He learned from and converted to Christianity..." In that case, I might do what you suggested: "He learned from Christianity and converted to it."
