In English, there are a lot of phrasal verbs which have the same meanings. So how to differentiate? (phrasal verbs with take, pass, hang, etc.)For examples: pass over = pass away = pass in: die take over= take on put away= put aside= put by or get round= bring round, etc.

Context is usually the biggest clue. Use the words around the phrasal verb to help find the meaning. "Take off your jacket" "The plane will take off in 10 minutes" Jackets can't fly into the sky, and planes can't remove their clothes (?!) so I can use the other words to work out the phrasal verb usage.
