How to address a korean friend's parents?
I saw people saying that it should be 아줌마 & 아저씨 but I think both of the terms are not that nice?

Yes, it doesn't sound polite.
"어머님" and "아버님" would be ok.:)

I'm a Korean language newb, so I won't offer this as "the" answer. You're right, those terms have a negative connotation. You will be polite with them by just using the right form of polite speech. I'm guessing it would be "high formal," i.e., -ㅂ니다
